Farnborough Comic Con

It was the first time Megacon had hosted an event at Farnborough, and also the first time i’d been to Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre; so was unsure what to expect.
To get to the venue you had to drive past the perimeter of the airport past Learjets and Gulfstreams which was a first for me. Compared to Megacon Birmingham it was a smaller event with less big vendors, however was a great weekend and well treated by the organisers and the venue itself. Was great to park outsite (free of charge) and wheel the droid inside a few metres to our stand. Then for teardown we had to wait for the public to leave, but easy to pack-up.
Like most of the big events the Rebel Legion, UKG and Sabre guild were present, so great to catch up. The Dalek Builders and Steampunk groups were also present and was the first time i’d seen Chris Osbourne’s ED-209.
I’d definately go back, hopefully it will be bigger next year and more to see; the venue has plenty of space for expansion.
